Red Ribbon Week
Red Ribbon Week is a nationally recognized week to empower students to “Say No to Drugs”.
Here’s what Partnership has planned to support Red Ribbon Week:
Theme— “Today Is The Day We Make Choices for Tomorrow!”
Spirit Week Dress--
Monday—Backwards Shirt Day (wear your shirts backwards); “Turn your back on drugs”
Tuesday— Camouflage Clothes Day; “Join the FIGHT Against Drugs”
Wednesday—Wear your sports uniforms or favorite sports team shirts (jerseys, shirts, etc, but no equipment such as pads, helmets, balls, bats, hockey sticks, skateboards, etc); “I’ve got better things to do than drugs”
Thursday— Superhero Day (wear Superhero shirts/clothes. No equipment/gear, masks, or things that cover the head) “I’ve Got the POWER to be Drug Free!”
Friday—Wear All Red Day “I’m proud to be Drug Free!”
*Please note that actual drugs, their names and their effects WILL NOT be discussed in Guidance.
We will focus on making the choice to say no to drugs. Ideas such as staying in school, being healthy and active, and following their dreams will be the Guidance topics. Students will also be encouraged to make safe life choices today and protect ourselves tomorrow!
At home, encourage your student on all the good choices they make of things to do other than drugs, i.e. sports, reading, studying, playing with friends, spending time with family, doing art projects, playing with pets, and being a great kid!
